MAST EurAsia Call for Papers – FOUR days left!
Sat 7 Dec 2013 @ 11:00
If you want to present at MAST EurAsia – the first ever global maritime security and defence conference and exhibition in Turkey – you have until midnight this Friday (6th December) to submit your abstract.
Extensions already granted to authors who contacted the MAST secretariat directly will be honoured, but with possible oversubscription this year, all remaining authors should submit as much information now.
NB: If waiting for clearance from government authorities, submit stating “subject to approval” in the top line of the abstract text.
Uploading an abstract (or multiple) takes just a few minutes (thanks to MAST’s bespoke online system), so don’t delay and miss your opportunity to present to senior level technologists, operators and programme managers from MENA and Asia regions (not to mention Turkey and the rest of Europe, and North America).
Yokohama named as location for MAST Asia 2015
Sat 7 Dec 2013 @ 11:00
Recognising the tremendous level of support from Asian countries at every MAST to date (most evidently from Japan) and Japan’s increasing openness to international opportunities/operations, Yokohama has been selected to host the first MAST Asia.
MAST will work with Japanese, US and other authorities (not least those from adjacent Yokosuka naval base) plus several industry associations to bring full international support to the event, establishing it as the only global event of its kind in Japan.
Early endorsement of MAST Asia’s choice of country has seen several large European/US maritime security/defence companies request exhibition space ahead of the floorplan being published!
Exhibition space will be allocated on a loyalty basis, with preferential rates and terms extended to those MAST EurAsia (Istanbul, Turkey 2014) sponsors, exhibitors and delegates making reservations (no-financial commitment at this stage) before the end of January 2014.
Planning meetings in the coming months will determine the dates and frequency of the event. Tentative dates for the first event are 13th to 15th May 2015.
