NEC take lead Japanese billing at MAST

Pioneering Japanese technology company NEC have set the standard for Japanese companies marketing their defence/security solutions under Japan’s new Japanese defence trade policies, confirming a significant exhibition presence and Bronze sponsorship at the inaugural MAST Asia 2015.
In addition to NEC, MAST’s largest, most international exhibition to date will feature Toyo and Jupitor, and many other Japanese companies on the Defence Technology Foundation organised SMEs pavilion.

General Atomics join the MAST organising committee

The MAST Technical Conference Committee has welcomed General Atomic’s Michael A.H. Maughan (Director of Advanced Programs & Strategic Development) to the team.
As well as supporting the conference planning and abstract adjudication, GA have also confirmed a presence in the exhibition.
Amongst its vast product portfolio, GA develops electromagnetic naval aircraft launch and recovery systems, electromagnetic railgun launchers, pulsed power systems, and projectiles as well as Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), tactical reconnaissance radars, and advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.

With just over two weeks to reserve space for Japan’s first ever international defence exhibition and conference – and for the first time in MAST’s history – the MAST Asia 2015 exhibition could sell out.
Companies wanting to introduce their platforms, systems and solutions to Asian navies’ and other organisations’ operators and technologists (not least those of Japan) are urged to book immediately.
All reservations received before 29th November will be honoured at the ‘early-bird’ rate, after which time stand prices will be increased inline with the industry standard.

MAST’s organisers are delighted to have received news from the British Chamber of Commerce in Japan, that MAST Communications/MAST Asia 2015 has been selected as a nominee to receive the coveted “Company of the Year” award for its contribution to fostering closer partnerships between UK and Japan in the defence sector.
The nomination recognises MAST Asia as Japan’s first international defence conference and exhibition, and is a tribute to the dedication and commitment of MAST’s Technical Conference Committee and Exhibition Steering Group (not to mention exhibitors, authors, delegates, visitors and VIPs) in planning surrounding activities and the event itself to create a truly unique global maritime defence/security interface, in Japan.
