New Power and Energy Technologies for Mission Success
Tue 18 Apr 2017 @ 9:12
General Atomics invite you to find out how they are changing the way defense systems convert, manage and store energy and power to improve mission assurance and meet operational demands.
From surface platforms to space, General Atomics is on the forefront of creating advanced systems to help defend against a widening array of current and future threats.
GA’s stand at MAST Asia will feature their first-of-kind electromagnetic aircraft launch system (being installed on the U.S. Navy’s three new Ford-class aircraft carriers). The electromagnetic launch system reduces maintenance and manning requirements, resulting in greater efficiencies and operational availability. The system’s flexible architecture accommodates a variety of ship platforms and a wide range of aircraft, making it suitable for new ship designs.
GA are advancing the development of a multi-mission railgun weapon system, which uses electromagnetic force to launch hypersonic guided projectiles from land and sea-based platforms in support of air and missile defense. Our railgun pulsed power container system provides double the energy density in a reduced container footprint, providing greater flexibility for ship and land-based installations, and improved maneuverability for mobile applications. We’re also delivering safe, scalable Lithium-ion fault tolerant battery systems for surface ships and submersibles, providing more reliable energy storage capabilities to generate electrical power when it is needed.
Visit the General Atomics booth at MAST Asia and find out how they are developing advanced power and energy technologies and creating real-world solutions to power mission success.
Ship tours – pre-registration essential
Tue 18 Apr 2017 @ 9:08
Once again we are delighted to have the support from both US Navy and Japan Maritime Self Defence Force to host ship visits in their respective navy bases in Yokosuka during MAST Asia 2017.
Due to increased security measures, all ship tour visitors must register in advance. Participating vessels will be confirmed at a later date.
Shuttle buses will be provided from/to the venue.
If you have already registered as a delegate, visitor or exhibitor at MAST Asia and want to attend one of the two ship tours (either USN or JMSDF) on Tuesday 13th June, register now!
Similarly tours of the Japanese government laboratory (Wednesday 14th June) will need pre-regisration and clearance by the authorities.
MAST VIP registrations most numerous (and senior-level) EVER!
Mon 10 Apr 2017 @ 16:23
* Australia * Canada * France * Germany * India * Indonesia * Italy * Korea * Malaysia * Netherlands * Poland * Philippines * Qatar * Saudi Arabia * Singapore * Thailand * Turkey * UK * USA * Vietnam * (and …of course, JAPAN)
Take part in MAST Asia 2017 and you are guaranteed to spend time with game-changing defence leaders from the (above) countries shaping the region’s operational, political and commercial (defence) landscape!
Now officially endorsed by Japan’s Ministry of Defence (MOD), Ministry of Trade, Economy and Industry (METI), and Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), MAST Asia’s VIP/Hosted buyer department is currently inundated with flight and accommodation arrangements for 70+ international Directors of Defence Procurement, Chiefs of Navy, and government ministers confirmed to attend MAST Asia in Tokyo this June.
With these high “value” attendees treated to every courtesy before and during the event – many arriving on Sunday 11th (for the pre-show VIP dinner), and leaving after the Ministry of Defence/ATLA “Japan:ASEAN Summit" one day after MAST Asia – no other event in the region will give you so much face-to-face time with the region’s operators, policy makers, technologists, and defence equipment buyers.
Visitor registration is free-of-charge, and conference delegate rates are discounted until Friday 2nd June.
Register now and you can also join ship-visits at Yokosuka naval base (JMSDF and USN).
Limited exhibition space/sponsorships are still available. Ask your representative for details.
