We are pleased to announce the first MAST spin-off event series since launch.
The first ever “MAST Advanced Workshop (MAW)” will take place in May 2018 in Portsmouth, UK, supported by the UK Royal Navy, leading academics, big data companies and invested industry from the Americas, Europe and the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
“Disruptive Technologies in Defence I: Development and Deployment” will be a highly interactive, intensive two-day event: three syndicates (Military/Academia/Industry), led by a renowned personality in their respective fields, working on defined task(s) with an objective to produce a ratified white paper of dependable and actionable information, to be referenced by friendly nations’ military operators and technologists.
Organised by a Management Group (independent of MAST), the event will be chaired by the UK’s pre-eminent academic and expert across a breadth of technology fields, Sir Nigel Richard Shadbolt FRS FREng CITP CEng FBCS CPsychol, the Department of Computer Science, University of Oxford, UK.
No exhibition is planned, although a limited number of accepted sponsors will be able to make small displays – to MAW’s niche top-level audience – in the common sessions/lunch/break area.
Both Syndicate Member and Observer places will be strictly limited to ensure maximum event effectiveness, so anyone interested in being part in this exclusive focused environment should sign up now.
