Organisers of 12th February’s busy MAST briefing received numerous indicators for significant growth in participation from both Japanese exhibitors and foreign government/embassy-led pavilions at MAST Asia 2019 – to be held in Chiba, Tokyo from 17–19 June 2019.

As Japanese companies finalise their 2019 budgets, regular MAST Asia exhibitors are considering bigger exhibits and additional presentations. Several companies “new” to MAST Asia have already expressed intent to exhibit (or sponsor).

Defense contractors already established in the region are expected to support their Japanese customers with displays of their platforms and systems operated by JMSDF, JASDF, and JGSDF.

A ramped increase in conference abstract submissions is also expected (before the 25th February deadline), with ATLA confirming at least 17 presentations, and plenary sessions and VIP/social functions to feature top level addresses from both government and Japan’s self defense forces (Maritime, Air, and Ground).

Visitors/delegates to the third biennial MAST Asia are guaranteed the full perspective of operations, technologies, and policies used/being considered by maritime, air, missile defence, and expeditionary forces, in and around Japan.
